Trump, Kiki, and the Olympics

Things I spent time thinking about this week / talking about:

• MoL: Trump & The Paypal Mafia On this week's MoL we discuss what has to be discussed...


• Climbing Kili Did a speed run of Kili last week... gate to summit in less than 3 days... super fun, great weather. A lot of travel for a hike, but good times nonetheless


• Hiring Olympic Athletes ... who doesn't want people that gritty and committed? There are going to be like ~700 american olympic athletes finishing up their drive for gold... why isn't there an airtable with who they are and what they are looking for next so people other than Goldman can take a shot at hiring them / reverse marketplace? This got a surprising amount of engagement and I ended up talking to a bunch of Olympians -- if someone wants to build it, it is a 'thing'


• More hearsay people keep signing up for hearsay and I have admit I am finding these email summaries pretty useful. I am on the fence about if I should put a few days of work in to make a real service here, where individuals can have accounts and auto-fwd their own emails for 'smart digesting'


• Go Solana! nice to see a healthy run ... not sure what is driving it ATM other than consistent execution, but I will take it!


• The northeast is HOT... I can't believe we didn't have AC my entire childhood on cape and islands... global warming is scary

P.S. Watched the movie 'Challengers' on the flight home... meh. Watchable but not great... but can someone explain the ending to me? I consider myself a smart guy, I don't get it
